UBCab — Bringing International Payments to Mongolia's Largest Ride-Hailing App

UBCab is Mongolia's leading mobility super app — connecting over 74,000 drivers with 1.4 million users across 16 provinces for taxi rides, food delivery, express courier, and car rental. As international tourism and business travel to Mongolia grew, UBCab saw an opportunity: let foreign visitors pay for rides the same way they pay at home.

A quick look at the integrations that unlocked international-ready mobility payments.

One QR, 170+ wallets

Foreign passengers were unable to pay through their home wallets — a friction point for international visitors unfamiliar with Mongolian payment apps. We integrated Alipay+ directly into the UBCab driver app, enabling drivers to display a dynamic QR code that accepts payments from 170+ international wallets — including Alipay, GCash, Touch 'n Go, KakaoPay, and more. No extra hardware, no new device — just the driver's existing app, now open to the world.

A perk for drivers: fuel discounts at Petrovis

We connected UBCab drivers to the Petrovis fuel network — Mongolia's largest fuel distributor and a fellow Minu partner. Drivers now receive exclusive discounts at Petrovis stations, turning everyday fueling into a loyalty benefit powered by the same Minu infrastructure running beneath both platforms.
